Production Manager
Overview
The Supervisor is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding safety, quality, production, and employee relations performanceobjectivesby communicating all relevant information/major issuestothe building Plant Manager, Weekend Warrior
Supervisor II,and all supporting functional areas while simultaneously working to resolve the issue.
The Supervisor’s chief responsibility is to ensure performance measured by metrics in his/her area is meeting or exceeding all defined goals and performing leader standard work as defined and outlined below.
This work should be completed while adhering to and complying with Company policy. Supervisors are also responsible for developing, motivating, and teaching Department Leaders in order to prepare them for future leadership roles.
Building and supporting a customer focused mentality. Coaching, mentoring, and holding Department Leaders and employees accountable for their performance by following the Employee Alignment Process. Identifying and solving problems that are impacting the performance of assigned production areas. Identifying and fulfilling Department Leader and employee training/certification needs. Providing and facilitating communication with all assigned workers and functional support areas by building a team atmosphere and continuously improving employee job satisfaction and morale.
Thoroughly and effectively evaluating and reviewing performance of individual workers through frequent coaching and employee reviews to assist the Company in talent development and accuracy of performance. Collaboratively define performance goals and expectations for all Department Leaders and delegate responsibility and authority appropriately.
- Completing daily checks which include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that all employees are following Company dress code, proper PPE is being utilized, and equipment/employees are working in a safe manner
- Making sure that all accidents are reported timely, reviewing all First Aid Incident Logs for accuracy, and acting on any opportunities for injury prevention
- Checking work area, equipment, and tooling assigned for the line throughout the day to ensure that it is well maintained, clean, orderly, and in good working condition
- Completing at least one item on safety checklist per day and turning in the actual checklist by the first Friday of the month
- Maintaining end of shift cleaning period by giving employees clear direction and assignment to specific cleaning areas to ensure that cleaning is done the entire time and each area is adequately staffed

Any issues found should be appropriately investigated, reported, and resolved.
- Completing daily checks which include but are not limited to:
- Completing in process Quality Audits, specifically looking for poor workmanship (specifically size, shape, and quality of material), ensuring that parts are accurate to drawings and are without dents, dings, and scratches and this quality is maintained throughout the run; ensuring that employees are properly recording daily damage and rework activity
- Ensuring all setups are signed off by the originator and an additional employee and all in process quality checks are being completed by the appropriate party

- Completing daily checks which include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that all workers on assigned machines follow established work approach and/or written work instructions. Working with Production Engineering to update work approach and/or written work instructions as needed through PCN’s, new products, and process improvement ideas
- Assigning specific tasks to workers based on rate/employee changes and identifying and assigning trainers to trainees
- Communicating regularly with other leaders to ensure that employees are meeting daily production goals (monitoring part processing sheets, machine cycle counters, schedules, etc.)
