Job OverviewSupplies & Purchasing Department – Full time nonexempt position at Technique, Inc., a Michigan-based stamping, tubing and welding facility. The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and involves accepting, inspecting, stocking, and maintaining inventory of materials, hardware, and customer‑supplied components.
Responsibilities- Perform receiving inspections of materials using precision measuring tools.
- Organize and stage material for use.
- Maintain proper inventory levels for stock materials and place reorder tags.
- Cycle count inventory using manufacturing software (E2).
- File material certifications and maintain material traceability.
- Education:
High school diploma. - Minimum Experience:
2+ years experience in a warehouse setting. - Other qualifications:
Forklift license and operation experience; strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to recognize various grades of sheet metal and tool steels.
- Forklift license and operation experience.
- Close attention to detail.
- Computer skills (Outlook, Excel).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
The role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Minimum Environmental ExpectationsEmployee is frequently exposed to manufacturing processes that include fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, industrial equipment, and vibration. The noise level can be loud.
TravelMinimal local daytime travel is expected.
