Lead Commissioning Engineer

Examples of key challenges the team is working on include:

• Supporting the development and execution of commissioning programmes for large-scale mission-critical data center portfolios.
• Establishing commissioning and QA/QC strategies for innovative and modular data center designs.
• Driving the implementation of advanced and automated commissioning processes across critical infrastructure systems.

• Lead HV, MV, and overall electrical commissioning activities across all commissioning phases on multiple concurrent data center projects.
• Act as the owner's electrical commissioning representative with general contractors, designers, equipment vendors, and stakeholders.
• Develop, review, and execute testing and verification programmes covering generators, switch gear, UPS systems, transformers, ATS/STS equipment, PDUs, and EPMS platforms to ensure systems meet design intent.
• Conduct site inspections, enforce safety standards, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues during commissioning activities.
• Lead final operational handover processes and verify electrical systems are fully prepared for service.

The following represents an ideal background, but we welcome exceptional candidates with relevant experience and transferable expertise.

• Proven experience leading HV and MV electrical commissioning on mission-critical projects through energisation and final client acceptance.
• Hands‑on expertise across the full electrical infrastructure stack, including generators, paralleling switch gear, UPS systems, battery systems, transformers, ATS/STS equipment, PDUs, grounding systems, and EPMS platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex startup and commissioning issues in live environments.
• Experience managing contractors and vendors to required testing standards while maintaining comprehensive and auditable documentation.
• Additional experience with commissioning best practices, testing standards, controls systems, mechanical systems, or an electrical engineering background is advantageous.
