Large Group Coordinator
The Large Group Coordinator is responsible for leading and developing the large group experience within Abundant Life Kids Ministry. This role shepherds, equips, empowers, and develops a team of worship leaders and communicators to create dynamic, Christ-centered environments where every child knows they belong, believes in who Jesus is and what He's done, and becomes more like Him.
The Large Group Coordinator is the primary leader responsible for ensuring that large group environments engage children through dynamic, Christ-centered teaching while delivering the provided curriculum with excellence and creativity. This role also focuses on building, training, and supporting a team of volunteers who lead ALK Kids worship, creating a consistent and meaningful worship experience each week. The Large Group Coordinator collaborates closely with central services, the campus pastor, and the campus team to maintain alignment with Abundant Life's mission and uphold spiritual intentionality across all large group gatherings.
PersonalResponsibilities
- Be committed to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ by assembling for instruction in God's Word and engaging in the personal study of God's Word.
- Responsibly use the resources at your disposal to foster the mission and vision of Abundant Life.
- Participate in an Abundant Life group as well as the discipleship ministry.
- Live in a way that glorifies God and aligns with the staff core values.
- Be committed to giving to the needs of the saints.
- Become a member of Abundant Life.
- Collaborate with Lees Summit Children's Pastor/Ministry Leader to align Children's Ministry with the mission and ministries of the church.
- Executing weekend serves alongside campus team.
- Responsible for setting up new volunteers in Planning Center and Rock.
- Database management (Planning Center, Rock, etc.).
- Responsible for consistent communication to all Elementary/Guest Services volunteers (i.e. weekly emails, texts, Group Me, etc.).
- Enforce and maintain all child safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure trustworthy environment for all children participating in ministry activities.
- Strategically schedule and manage volunteer teams for weekend programming using database/scheduling tools.
- Lead and develop a team of communicators to deliver dynamic, engaging large group experiences for children, while also supporting and coordinating the volunteer worship team as part of the overall environment.
- Shepherd and empower volunteers through coaching, encouragement, and spiritual leadership.
- Equip serve team members to align with the vision of Abundant Life Kids and disciple children effectively.
- Ensure large group leaders follow the provided curriculum and teach in a dynamic, biblically sound, and age-appropriate manner.
- Create environments where children feel welcomed, valued, and spiritually challenged to grow in their faith.
- Collaborate with central services, campus pastor, and campus team to ensure consistency and excellence across all large group experiences.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for both communicators and worship team members to ensure excellence and growth across all large group environments.
- Meet weekly with serve staff pray with, disciple, and empower them for ministry.
- Oversee the care and support of the Large Group and Worship serve teams, fostering healthy relationships and guiding volunteers in their discipleship journey.
- Lead huddles for Large Group/Worship team at each service to equip leaders, review service elements and do service run-through.
- Support in planning and executing Kids Ministry events.
- Partner with parents in raising up the new generation of kids to discover and deepen their relationship with Jesus.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned in alignment with the mission of making disciples and serving families well.
- A deep personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a calling to disciple children through worship and biblical teaching.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire volunteers in creating environments that foster spiritual growth and lifelong faith in Jesus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to connect effectively with children, parents, volunteers, and staff.
- Experience in worship leading and/or teaching in a children's ministry context.
- Highly organized and spiritually discerning.
- Collaborative team player with the capacity to work closely with others.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other administrative tools.
