Registered Nurse - PreOp​/PACU

The Opportunity

Saint Luke's East in Lee's Summit is seeking a Pre Op/PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients with various conditions and acuity levels undergoing various procedures including orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and spine.

FT
- Days. This position takes call. Callback response time is 30 minutes.

• Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Utilizes the nursing process.
• Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and supervising other patient care staff.
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

• 1 year experience.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Basic Life Support
  - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
• Associate Degree
  - Nursing.
