Registered Nurse - PreOp​/PACU

Preop/Pacu Rn

Saint Luke's East in Lee's Summit is seeking a Preop/Pacu Rn to join their perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients with various conditions and acuity levels undergoing various procedures including; but not limited to orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, gyn, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and some spine.

Shift details:

FT-days. This position takes call. Callback response time is 30 minutes.

The work:

• Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Utilizes the nursing process

• Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures

Job requirements:

1 yearadvanced cardiac life support - american heart association or red cross, basic life support - american heart association or red cross, registered nurse (mo) - national council of state boards of nursing (nursys) associate degree - nursing
