Job Overview
Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24‑hour adult emergency department and a separate pediatric emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. It is the only hospital in St.
Louis County to be named a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is ranked in the St. Louis metro area by U.S. News & World Report.
- Full‑time night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Every 3rd weekend rotation
- Level III NICU (or higher) experience required
- Eligible for a $7,500 sign‑on bonus
Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
Responsibilities- Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
- Educates patients and families on managing their illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engages in professional development and continuous improvement.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
- Communicates plan of care across the continuum of care.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Considers patient preferences, barriers, and cultural factors when planning care.
