Job Overview

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO is seeking an experienced Nurse to join the Medical Surgical – Ortho team. This position will allow you to work primarily with orthopedic patients, but the team also takes overflow from general surgery, as well as medical patients. This busy, fast‑paced unit offers the opportunity to master your skills with a nationally recognized team that has received advanced certification for total hip and total knee replacement.

• Utilize the nursing process.
• Perform patient care, delegate tasks, and supervise other patient care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consult with other members of the health‑care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate proficiency and abide by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.

• Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Registered Nurse credential.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.

Full Time – Night Shift (3, 12‑hour shifts weekly).
