American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active MO or compact RN license and prior telemetry experience.

• Community hospital setting with 240 staffed beds, including a 16-bed ICU
• Care for post cath patients on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
• 8 weekend shifts required within Saint Luke's 6-week scheduling period, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Charge RN and holiday shift assignments may be required per unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active MO RN license or compact required; KS license also required due to potential floating between facilities
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Required skills include IV therapy/phlebotomy, titrating cardiac drips, on-unit telemetry monitoring, and cardiac monitoring/emergency response
• Preferred skills include central line and PICC line management, blood product administration, wound care, and pacemaker management
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Two professional references required, one from a supervisor and one from a charge RN, both from within the past year

• Provide telemetry-based nursing care to post cath and cardiac monitoring patients
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted
• Returning staff must have a 3-month break in service if previously employed for 18 months or more
• Former permanent employees of BJC or Saint Luke's must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Navy scrub color required
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment
