ICU Nurse

BJC Health Care is seeking an ICU Nurse to deliver high-acuity, evidence-based care in a mission-driven, research-connected health system in St. Louis. In this role, you will manage complex, critically ill adults, continuously monitoring vitals, ventilators, and drips, and responding rapidly to changes. You will collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, participate in codes and rapid responses, and educate patients and families with compassion.

• Provide high-acuity bedside nursing care to ICU patients following evidence-based protocols
• Continuously monitor vital signs, ventilators, drips, and complex equipment, responding rapidly to changes
• Administer medications, blood products, and treatments safely, documenting accurately in the EMRCollaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans and rounds
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-ICU care with compassion
• Advocate for patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in code and rapid response situations, performing ACLS-level interventions
• Precept and mentor new nurses, contributing to a learning-focused, inclusive culture
