American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring telemetry skills and cardiac drip titration in a community hospital setting.

• Community hospital setting within a 240-bed facility including a 16-bed ICU
• Med/Surg Tele unit caring for post cath patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 18:45-07:15
• 8 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Charge RN and holiday shift assignments as needed per unit
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR used

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required
• Both Kansas and Missouri or compact license required in hand at time of consideration due to potential floating needs
• Current certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience required
• 2 years of recent specialty experience preferred, including a full year within the past 12 months with no employment gaps greater than 90 days
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip titration skills required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• SSN, RTO, and scheduling requests required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor-level or above and one charge RN, both from within the past year

• Provide telemetry monitoring and cardiac care for post cath and cardiac patients on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• Navy scrub color required
• Free parking provided
• First-time travelers accepted
• No local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the facility
• Maximum RTO of 7 days
• Returning staff must have a 3-month break in service after 18 months of prior service; permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel partners accepted
