American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit position on night shift, requiring ACLS and NIHSS certifications with PCU experience.
Requirements- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
- Two professional references required for Missouri assignments
- PCU North unit within the main hospital, 2nd floor
- 18-bed unit with 60 total staff
- Day shift staffing: 1 CNC, 5 RNs, 2 PCTs; night shift staffing: 1 CNC, 4 RNs, 2 PCTs
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Common procedures include post cath lab care and drip titrations
- Uses Welch Allyn vital sign monitors, Alaris IV pumps, EKG, and BiPAP equipment
- Charts using Meditech EMR
- Night shift schedule, 7pm-7am
- Works 2-3 weekend shifts per 4-week period
- No on-call requirements
- Provide progressive care nursing to patients recovering from cardiac catheterization and requiring drip titration monitoring
- Grey scrub color required; hoodies not permitted
- Unit recognized for quality awards including Employee of the Month and Daisy Award honors
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
