Handshake is recruiting master's and doctoral students, candidates, and graduates in Biology to join our AI research community. The program aims to enhance the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) across various specialized domains such as Molecular & Cellular Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Plant & Fungal Biology, Invertebrate & Insect Biology, and Ecological & Environmental Biology.

Responsibilities include:

• Testing AI models with real-world biological expertise.
• Evaluating where AI excels or fails in understanding biological concepts.
• Contributing to AI research while applying your biological knowledge.

The program is open to U.S.

-based doctoral students, candidates, and recent graduates with valid work or training authorization. Compensation ranges from $75 to $100 per hour, depending on the project.

Qualifications include:

• PhD students, postdocs, or recent PhDs in biology with research experience in areas like ecology, cellular biology, physiology, etc.
• Ability to participate in primarily asynchronous work.
• Confidence that your expertise can outperform current AI systems in understanding your field.
