Seasonal Cashier-Store Lee's Summit, MO

Ace Retail Group (ARG) is a division of Ace Hardware Corporation that operates several Ace brands, including Westlake Ace. We are one of the largest hardware retailers in the United States with more than 250 neighborhood stores nationwide.

The Cashier is responsible for register transactions involving the sale and/or return of merchandise.

• Provide a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware
• Greet customers upon entry and as they move through the store
• Thank customers by name whenever possible when they leave the store
• Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor and work well with customers and associates
• Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently
• Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively
• Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance
• Continuously build product knowledge base and assist customers with store layout and product location
• Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise
• Follow all cash register transaction procedures and balance the register drawer
• Adhere to Store Support Center program or promotion requirements at the registers
• Participate in store and cashier meetings
• Maintain front‑end appearance and upkeep, keeping checkout areas, entrance doors, impulse counters, ads, forms and supplies neat, clean and stocked
• Assist with cart pickups, decorating the front end, and notifying management when merchandise requires restocking or returns need to be put away
• Perform any additional duties as assigned

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Cashier experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs) and climb as required

Starting at $15.00 per hour.
