General Merchandise Clerk (Entry‑Level)

This position is responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. The role involves a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, pricing, inventory, and merchandising.

Schedule:

5:00a.m. or earlier start time; weekend work required.

• Build rapport with customers and display a friendly, outgoing attitude.
• Assist customers with questions, directing them to other team members when appropriate.
• Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and managers on additional tasks as needed.
• Work across departments:
  Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.

• Detail‑oriented and organized.
• Strong listening and communication skills, both face‑to‑face and virtually.
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job‑specific technology.
• Problem‑solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot.
• Process‑driven and able to follow procedures efficiently.
• Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product; stand for long periods.
• Desire to work with customers on a consistent basis.
