The Cashier is responsible for register transactions involving the sale and return of merchandise, ensuring efficient customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized front end.

• Greet customers at the entrance and throughout the store.
• Thank customers by name when possible before they leave.
• Provide friendly, outgoing service and assist customers with store layout and product location.
• Clear checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
• Respond to calls and pages promptly and courteously.
• Escalate issues that require management assistance.
• Build product knowledge to assist customers.
• Assist in pricing, stocking, marking, and bagging merchandise.
• Follow all cash register transaction procedures and balance the drawer.
• Execute store promotion programs at the register.
• Participate in store and cashier meetings.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of front end, checkout areas, and entrance doors.
• Facilitate impulse counters and seasonal merchandise rotations.
• Stock fresh ads in shopping carts and keep forms and supplies available.
• Decore front end per store support program.
• Call for cart pickups and inform management of return put‑away.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Cashier experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and climb.
• Ability to exhibit Core Values in daily decisions and interactions.

Starting pay at $15.50 per hour.
