Director of Industrial Sales
Develop, drive, and support the growth of our Industrial Sales division, expanding our company footprint. Work closely with key contributors, including Branch Managers, Sales personnel, Marketing, and Purchasing, to develop sales strategies, identify target accounts and markets, product focus and availability, build and maintain strong vendor relationships, and identify training needs for Sales Associates.
Responsibilities- Develop and lead the Industrial Sales team in the identified region.
- Work with Managers and Sales personnel to cultivate and maintain key customer relationships and develop strategies to grow sales in local markets.
- Collaborate with purchasing to determine product needs; cultivate and solidify strong vendor relationships, leveraging them to effectively grow sales.
- Ensure personnel have sufficient product expertise and meet customer expectations; assess and identify training gaps and implement solutions.
- Review and monitor sales and pricing reports, tracking targets and progress.
- Provide overall guidance and direction to Managers and Salespersons in industrial sales and pricing.
- Travel locally as required.
- Background in distribution (plus).
- Bachelor's degree (plus).
- Strong product background and knowledge preferred.
- Strong leadership abilities.
