Electro-Mechanical Technician; Field Service

Position: Electro-Mechanical Technician (Field Service)

Competitive Pay:

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $30/hr. to $45/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do:

* Perform assembly/disassembly of rotating equipment, including pumps and motors

* Install seals and packing, and recommend repair solutions based on equipment condition

* Execute equipment start-ups and commissioning for industrial and water/wastewater systems

* Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, gearboxes, motors, and related equipment

* Diagnose and repair basic mechanical issues to maintain reliable operation

* Conduct vibration analysis, PdMA testing, and infrared (IR) testing on equipment and control panels

* Troubleshoot AC and DC electrical systems and assist with installation of electrical equipment

* Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings

* Perform precision alignments to support equipment reliability

* Work directly with customers to explain findings and recommend solutions

* Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed

* Collaborate with Customer Service, Shop teams, and Sales to support customer needs

* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

* Respond to service calls, including occasional after-hours or emergency work

What You'll Need:

* High school diploma or equivalent with strong mechanical aptitude

* 3-5+ years of experience in rotating equipment repair, maintenance, or field service (preferred, not required)

* Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting (AC/DC)

* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

* Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers

* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

* Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (non-CDL)

* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)

* Willingness to travel occasionally and respond to after-hours service calls

* Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills

* Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members

* Bonus:

Experience with vibration analysis, PdMA testing, or infrared diagnostics
