Position Overview
Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. They ensure customers receive products on time and in good condition and serve as the face of the company, building lasting customer relationships.
ScheduleSunday–Wednesday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
Responsibilities- Shuttle trailers between the trailer yard and the main warehouse to support daily operations.
- Move tractor trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas on company property and transport to offsite maintenance or inspection facilities.
- Perform inspections, fuel, park, and secure tractors and trailers, complying with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Complete required documentation for each shift.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co‑workers, answering questions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in loading and unloading freight by hand‑lifting and using equipment such as two‑wheelers and lift gates; freight typically ranges from 10–35 lb, up to 90 lb.
- Perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of driving experience.
- Valid CDL Class A license and compliance with all state licensing and certification requirements.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
- Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
- Pass road test.
- Ability to lift and operate two‑wheelers, lift gates, and other equipment to move freight up to 90 lb.
- Available to work the scheduled shift hours and required overtime.
- 1+ year of experience in the food service distribution industry.
- Experience with onboard computer and electronic log systems (e.g., People Net).
- Internal candidates with less than 6 months experience in a driver training program and good performance record.
