This position involves basic to advanced, skilled mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and structural equipment related to the operation of the Town’s Water Filtration Facility and Water Pollution Control Facility and all associated facilities within the Town’s Department of Utilities. The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme cold and heat, noise, vibration, and working in hazardous conditions such as confined space and high voltage environments in all types of weather conditions.

• HS/GED
• Minimum of one year of experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, facility maintenance and/or repair work.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Knowledge in MS Suite applications and computer program applications appropriate to the position.
• Knowledge of OSHA and other workplace safety programs.
• Confined Space Certification, Fork Lift Certification and First Aid/CPR Certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

• HS/GED
• Two to three years of experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, facility maintenance and/or repair work.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Knowledge in MS Suite applications and computer program applications appropriate to the position.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10 within 1 year of employment.
• Confined Space Certification, Fork Lift Certification and First Aid/CPR Certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

• HS/GED
• Five years of responsible experience in mechanical, facility maintenance, electrical, HVAC and plumbing repair work or a combination.
• Five years of experience as an industrial electrician, reading line drawings and electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge in MS Suite applications and computer program applications appropriate to the position.
• Company asset management experience.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment with appropriate endorsements.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 30 within 1 year of employment.
• Confined Space Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Knowledge of pumps and motors.
