Job Purpose:
- The BA Emergency Evaluator - Shift 2 at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. The role is crucial in providing immediate support and determining the appropriate level of care needed to stabilize individuals in crisis, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive emergency evaluations for individuals in crisis to determine their mental health status and immediate needs. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement appropriate intervention strategies. - Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals experiencing acute behavioral health issues. - Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in emergency behavioral health care and crisis intervention. - Communicate effectively with individuals in crisis, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care. - Participate in shift rotations and be available for on-call duties as required to provide 24/7 emergency evaluation services.## Qualifications Required
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health or crisis intervention settings. - Proven track record of working effectively in high-pressure environments, particularly in emergency or urgent care settings. - Experience in conducting mental health assessments and evaluations.
Required
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and crisis intervention techniques. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. - Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during emergency situations. - Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of evaluations and interventions. - Familiarity with relevant legal and ethical guidelines in behavioral health care.
- Capacity to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as part of a shift-based schedule.
