Overview
UF Health Leesburg Hospital offers a 48-bed state-of-the-art emergency center equipped with trauma-sized rooms for critical care plus triage rooms and a spacious new lobby. We have rapid-response laboratory services and digital imaging, including X-ray units within the ER. More than 35,000 people are treated each year by our highly trained emergency room staff.
The UF Health Shands Comprehensive Stroke Center is certified by The Joint Commission and the American Stroke Association/American Heart Association. Comprehensive stroke center certification recognizes hospitals that have state-of-the-art infrastructure, experienced staff and extensive training to receive and treat people with simple and complex strokes.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the unit director, the RN is responsible for the care and safety of the patient.
This position will require rotating between the ED and Stroke Unit. The main focus will be on stroke patient, alerts, data and documentation.
Qualifications
Education:
* Diploma/Associate's degree in nursing or higher
Licensure/Certification /Registration:
* Florida Registered Nurse License
* BLS
* ACLS
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience
Required:
* Must have 2 years of experience in the ED or Neuro ICU.
* Stroke Certified Registered Nurses (SCRN) preferred
* Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
