Environmental Manager - SES
This position is located in Temple Terrace, FL. The primary responsibility is to directly supervise and oversee the work of staff. The incumbent will effectively communicate with, motivate, train, and evaluate on direct work performance and is responsible for time and attendance of subordinates. Coordinates with peers in the District Office in order to meet workload commitments and goals. Oversee the timely issuance of associated program compliance/enforcement documents and/or permitting/waste cleanup documents.
Continually reduces time to process compliance/enforcement and/or permitting/waste cleanup actions and response times. Coordinates with peers related to the compliance and technical assistance and outreach program for the District Office. Coordinates with peers for multi-media inspections and cross-training. Coordinates with manager counterparts to meet program needs. Works with the appropriate Division to implement programmatic processes as a means of continuous process improvement.
Conducts performance appraisals for employees at least annually. Identifies poor performers and initiates improvement plans. Identifies stellar performers and provides opportunities for increased visibility and training. Develops staff technical expertise in regulated industry. Identify, develop, and mentor staff for leadership positions. Ability to motivate and build a team. Be positive and supportive toward upper management. Is a team player that leads by example.
Skill in managing conflicts and negotiating mutually acceptable outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of verifiable related experience; or any combination of post-secondary education or verifiable related experience, as described above, for a total of seven years. A credential evaluation report from an approved agency must be submitted along with all foreign degrees. Maintain a valid Driver License Required to travel.
Pay: $69,748.68 annually
