Position Overview The Junior Production Supervisor will assist in managing daily fabrication operations, coordinating workflow, supporting shop employees, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer specifications, drawings, and quality requirements. This is a hands‑on position working role.

The successful candidate will be a hands‑on leader with experience in steel fabrication who can balance production demands with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily supervision of steel fabrication shop operations
• Coordinate production activities to meet project schedules and customer requirements
• Review job priorities and help assign work to fabrication personnel
• Monitor workflow, material availability, and production progress
• Support compliance with DOT project requirements, quality standards, and documentation processes
• Interpret shop drawings
• Identify production challenges and assist in implementing solutions
• Promote a strong safety culture and safe work practices
• Support training and development of shop employees
• Assist with continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity and efficiency

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication, welding, or industrial manufacturing
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and shop operations
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Experience with DOT, bridge, structural steel, or infrastructure‑related fabrication is a plus
• Previous lead, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with production teams and management
• Commitment to safety, quality, and meeting customer expectations
