The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Lifestream Behavioral Center will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral issues. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications as appropriate. The APRN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and support the overall mission of the center.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and mental health evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses to treatment, adjusting as necessary.
Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional development and improve patient care.
Advocate for patients' needs and rights within the healthcare system and community resources.
Required
Education:
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution
Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification
Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting
Experience in psychiatric evaluations and medication management
Required
Skills and Abilities:
Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop and implement treatment plans
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in behavioral health
