The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Lifestream Behavioral Center will provide comprehensive psychiatric care and treatment to patients. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing mental health conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality behavioral health services, and promoting mental wellness within the community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications as needed, ensuring safe and effective pharmacological treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients, utilizing evidence‑based therapeutic techniques.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Advocate for patient needs and coordinate with community resources to support patient recovery and well‑being.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of behavioral health programs and services at Lifestream Behavioral Center.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting
- Experience in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders
- Proven track record of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
