The Nurse Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the residential nursing department. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care to residents, compliance with healthcare regulations, and the implementation of best nursing practices. The Nurse Residential Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the nursing staff within the residential department, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents, in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making improvements as necessary to maintain high standards.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain accreditation and licensure.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including conducting performance evaluations and facilitating professional development opportunities.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and support to residents.
- Manage the department's budget, resources, and supplies efficiently to optimize operational effectiveness.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by residents, families, or staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in strategic planning and development initiatives to enhance the services offered by the residential department.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing social work, psychiatric rehabilitation, counseling or psychology (Preferred)
- Associate degree in Nursing (required)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required
- Minimum of 6 years' experience with the co-occurring population and minimum of two-year supervisory experience required

- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee and guide a team of nursing professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare-related software.
- Ability to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards related to residential care settings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
