ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the director/charge nurse, the RN utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulates care plans based on the diagnosis and implements and evaluates the plan of care, performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Florida Registered Nurse License
BLS
NIH Stroke Scale Certification
ONS Biotherapy Certification within 3 months of hire
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/ExperienceRequired:
- Prior oncology experience is strongly preferred.
- Candidates without oncology experience must demonstrate a strong interest in learning oncology nursing and commitment to professional development.
- For Chemotherapy RN positions, previous oncology experience is required.
- Chemotherapy certification is preferred; however, candidates without certification must be willing to obtain chemotherapy certification within six months of hire.
- Candidates should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and families during complex treatment journeys.
A consistent and stable work history is preferred, with demonstrated commitment to previous employers and roles.
