Under the direction of the Unit Director, the RN is responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care while promoting positive patient outcomes and an outstanding patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for assigned patients.
  • Deliver safe, high-quality patient care while adhering to evidence-based practices and organizational standards.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and effectively.
  • Monitor patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team.
  • Promote patient safety by following infection prevention, restraint, and quality care protocols.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to support positive patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and appropriately delegate patient care activities to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Nurse Techs, and Unit Secretaries.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, mandatory education, and competency training.
  • Serve as a mentor or preceptor for new team members and nursing students, as appropriate.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licensure & Certifications
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Qualifications
