Job Purpose:

• -Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for consumers with mental health and substance use disorders.
• -Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities.
• -Must have a functional knowledge of the Baker and Marchman Acts.
• -Administers and transcribe medications as ordered by the physician
• -Advises Nurse Administrator(s) in matters of concern to nursing care and consumer needs.
• -Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards in mental health
• -Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
• -Address consumer and family concerns and facilitate communication.

• -Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required
• -Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
• -Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

- Additional education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Clinical Director of Nursing.

• -Minimum of Three (3) years nursing management experience in a mental health facility
• -Minimum of One (1) year in a supervisory position required.

• -Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and guide nursing staff effectively.
• -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• -Proficient in clinical assessment and critical thinking to ensure high-quality patient care.
• -Ability to handle stressful situations and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• -Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer proficiency.
• -Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care.
