• Assist the Store Manager in executing store operations.
• Manage Shift Managers, Shift Leads, and Sales Associates to provide world-class service.
• Drive sales, service, and customer experience initiatives to achieve store KPIs and performance goals.
• Monitor customer service and selling models; resolve complaints.
• Recognize team efforts and maintain a professional and positive workplace attitude.
• Ensure a safe and clean store environment, including the care and feeding of livestock.
• Motivate, coach, develop, and manage performance of teams focused on customer experience.
• Distribute store communications and ensure required actions are completed.
• Maintain brand standards and operational excellence, including inventory management, ordering, and budgeting.
• Assist with labor hour management, training, hiring, and talent pipeline development.
• Plan and execute community events and partner with rescue agencies.
• Monitor business performance throughout the shift and react to needs.

• Minimum 2 years in a retail management role.
• College degree an asset.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle.

• Heavy lifting up to 55 lbs several times per shift.
• Standing and moving around the selling floor most of the time.
• Active listening and observation required.
• Potential for slips, trips, falls, and strains/sprains; accidental injuries from pets are possible.
