Job Title
The purpose of the class is to perform and lead others in skilled tasks consisting of constructing, installing, and maintaining natural gas facilities.
Essential Job FunctionsThe essential job functions include installing and removing natural gas services and mains, supervising staff, consulting with supervisors, leading others in operating equipment, training subordinates, inspecting job sites, providing information to the public, performing minor administrative tasks, attending meetings, and performing after hours and weekend on-call duties.
Minimum RequirementsThe minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, formal training or specialized advanced training, one year of natural gas experience, knowledge of gas distribution system design, gas laws, and safety codes, ability to work in extreme environmental conditions, familiarity with WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint, living within 20 miles of Leesburg, participation in on-call rotation, obtaining required certifications and licenses, and a valid Florida driver license.
