Monday & Tuesday 2pm-5pm, Wednesday 1-4pm, Sunday 8am-12pm and other hours as needed
This position is responsible for:
Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities. Drives a Salvation Army vehicle to pick-up food donations and deliver to The Salvation Army Food Services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides transportation for members to and from the Corps each Sunday.
- Provides transportation for children to and from afternoon activities.
- Picks-up and delivers miscellaneous items as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
- Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
- Ability to spend the night away from home due to extended trips.
- Ability to maintain required licenses and certifications required of the position.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND
- Two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle,OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certifications:
Valid State Driver's License.
