Accounting Manager

Location: Leesburg, VA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Assignment type: Contract-to-Permanent

Compensation: $55.00 - $62.00 / Hourly

Work Schedule: M-F 9-5

A growing organization is seeking a GL Accounting Manager to join its expanding accounting team. This individual will play a key role in overseeing general ledger operations, leading the close process, and supporting financial reporting and process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong leadership capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and experience managing complex accounting operations

  Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporti
• ng Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with US GAAP and company polici
• es Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analys
• es Oversee accounting related to fixed assets, inventory, and revenue transactio
• ns Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to support reporting accuracy and cost allocation process
• es Assist with internal and external audit requests and support compliance initiativ
• es Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal contro
• ls Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environme
• nt Support process improvement initiatives within a growing and evolving accounting functi
