Front Desk Medical Receptionist

We are looking for a warm, organized Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our brand-new outpatient physical therapy clinic in Leesburg, Virginia on a PRN or part-time basis. Shifts fall within our clinic hours — Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and weekends, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The Medical Receptionist works at the front desk helping patients and visitors, supporting the office through the organization of daily front-office activities, effective problem resolution, patient scheduling, greeting patients, answering phone calls, directing the appointment scheduling process, and managing the medical record process.

• Greet patients in a friendly manner as they arrive at the office
• Schedule appointments and direct the patient appointment scheduling process
• Enter and update patient medical records
• Answer phones, triage incoming calls, and send messages through the office electronic medical record
• Contact insurance companies regarding issues with medical claims and check benefits for office procedures
• Send out patient invoices and other patient correspondence
• Collect co-pays and other patient payments
• Keep the reception area clean and organized
• Other duties as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Medical reception experience preferred — not required
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Professional demeanor
• Bilingual a plus, but not required
