We're expanding our team and seeking a dynamic business development manager to help shape the next chapter of loudoun's tech-driven economy. Specifically, loudoun county is seeking a business development manager to drive the growth of our thriving technology ecosystem by building and managing a pipeline of medium to large tech companies exploring relocation or expansion into one of the nation's most dynamic innovation hubs.

in this role, you'll lead outreach across high-growth sectors such as software, ai/ml, cloud services, enterprise it, health tech, clean tech, and advanced computing, while cultivating relationships with executives, founders, site selectors, and industry partners. You'll represent loudoun at key industry events and collaborate across our economic development team to showcase loudoun's unmatched talent, infrastructure, and quality of life. Ideal candidates bring experience in tech-focused business development or strategic partnerships, strong communication skills, and a proactive, relationship-driven approach.

bachelor's degree in business, international studies, international economic development, public administration, marketing, communications, or related field; three (3) years of related work experience preferably in project management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

international economic development council's (iedc's) certified economic developer (cecd) certification is preferred.

employment is contingent upon successful background check completion, to include criminal, credit, and driving record checks.

early morning, evening and weekend work as well as travel are required as needed.
