About the Role

Summit Construction Group LLC is hiring a Restoration Lead (Water Mitigation Project Manager / Technician) to help grow our water damage mitigation and restoration operations.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a positive attitude, and an ability to bring a calming presence to chaotic situations. Previous mitigation and/or restoration experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate.

You’ll lead water mitigation jobs, work directly with customers and adjusters, and cross-train in repairs when mitigation volume is lighter to ensure consistent hours.

  • Hourly pay range: $22-$32/hr
  • Typical workload: 40 hours/week
  • Overtime paid in accordance with federal and Virginia law
  • Performance bonuses, including:
  • 3% of mitigation job-level profit, on jobs you lead (i.e., $3500 mitigation project profit = $105 bonus)
  • $50 bonus for each mitigation job that converts into a repair project
  • $50 bonus for each 5-star Google review earned
  • Opportunities for increased responsibility and leadership

This structure allows motivated team members to significantly increase earnings through performance and leadership in the field.

What You’ll Do
  • Respond quickly to water damage losses and lead mitigation efforts on site
  • Assess damage, set up and monitor drying equipment, and document progress
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with IICRC standards and company protocols
  • Lead and direct technicians, helpers, and subcontractors when assigned
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters
  • Complete field documentation and support estimating as needed
  • Assist with logistics, material pickup, and general field support
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition
What We’re Looking For
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 60+ lbs and work in active jobsite environments
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to lead on-site operations and communicate professionally with customers
  • Experience in water mitigation, restoration, construction, or related trades preferred
  • IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, etc.) are a plus but not required. We’re willing to train the right person with the right attitude.
  • Average 40 hours per week
  • Availability for occasional emergency, after-hours, weekend, or holiday work (as needed and mutually agreed upon)
