Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager I to oversee commercial and institutional construction projects from project initiation through closeout. This role is responsible for managing all phases of the construction lifecycle, including estimating, subcontractor management, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and client communication.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction management processes, project controls, and the ability to successfully deliver projects while maintaining quality, safety, budget, and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Develop project estimates, proposals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other project partners.
  • Obtain and manage permits and regulatory requirements as needed.
  • Monitor project safety, quality, and overall jobsite performance.
  • Create and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Track project progress and identify schedule impacts, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Oversee project costs and ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Review and process monthly billing, requisitions, and vendor payments.
  • Maintain project documentation, logs, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Lead project closeout activities and documentation.
  • Participate in professional development and industry networking opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of government contracting experience.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Construction Quality Control (CQC) certification.
  • Professional credentials such as Associate Constructor (AC), Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), or Professional Engineer (PE).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk active construction sites and climb ladders and stairs regularly.
  • Ability to perform site inspections and oversee field operations as needed.
