Pavement Manager

Our client, a public works organization dedicated to maintaining and improving community infrastructure, is seeking a Pavement Manager to join their team. As a Pavement Manager, you will be part of the Department of Public Works supporting infrastructure maintenance and development. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Leesburg, Virginia

Pay Range: $83,000 - $185,000

What's the Job?

  • Administer and oversee the Town's road maintenance program, ensuring effective asset management and condition tracking.
  • Coordinate inspections of roads, bridges, trails, and sidewalks to maintain safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and manage multi-year paving and maintenance plans utilizing advanced software tools such as GIS and asset management systems.
  • Create project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules for maintenance and rehabilitation projects, managing budgets and resources efficiently.
  • Ensure all infrastructure improvements comply with ADA/PROWAG standards and coordinate with various stakeholders including contractors, departments, and external agencies.

What's Needed?

  • Degree in engineering, project management, road construction, or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing construction projects, including budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to interpret technical plans, specifications, and blueprints effectively.
  • Knowledge of pavement management software, asset management systems, and construction standards.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and the ability to obtain VDOT certifications within specified time frames.
