The Student Support Specialist provides customer service functions, enrollment and program support for NOVA Workforce. This position will be responsible to serve the students and NOVA Community at large in a timely fashion. Duties and tasks include providing quality customer service, handling customer complaints, performing registration tasks, entering and maintaining accurate data, issuing enrollment confirmations, troubleshooting enrollment problems, organizing files and records, assisting program developers, providing general office support, and assisting with the marketing of classes.
Key skills and qualifications include the ability to adapt and respond to different audiences, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work cooperatively with students, instructors, and staff, ability to work on multiple projects independently, ability to develop and prepare reports, ability to provide accurate information and courteous customer service, attention to detail, and willingness to work at multiple Workforce locations.
