Employment Support Specialist / DSP – Help Adults Succeed at Work

Looking for a meaningful job where you can help people succeed AND have your evenings and weekends free? At ECHO, we're hiring an Employment Support Specialist to help adults with disabilities find, learn, and succeed in real jobs in the community.

Monday–Friday only (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM). No nights. No weekends. No shift work. Consistent schedule every week. If you enjoy mentoring, coaching, or helping others grow—this role is incredibly rewarding.

This is not a desk job—you ll be out in the community supporting individuals at their workplaces.

• Coach and support individuals on the job at local businesses
• Help build confidence, independence, and job skills
• Assist with learning tasks, routines, and workplace expectations
• Support positive relationships between participants and employers
• Track progress and celebrate milestones
• Ensure safety and follow individualized support plans

You don t have to be an "expert"—we re looking for the right mindset:

• Patient, encouraging, and dependable
• Strong communicator who enjoys working with people
• Interested in coaching, mentoring, or teaching others
• Comfortable working in different community settings

• Job coaches or employment specialists
• Teachers, paraprofessionals, or school staff
• Human services or psychology graduates
• People leaving retail/food service who want daytime hours + purpose

• Valid driver s license with good driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening (including fingerprinting)
• Experience in human services or related field preferred—but we will train the right person
