Providence Academy is a Christian Independent school that was founded ten years ago with a mission “to provide uncompromising excellence in educating and equipping students with Truth.” The school serves over 250 students in Junior Kindergarten – 8th grade.
In the classroom, teachers are to encourage, motivate, and inspire students through an exceptional educational program infused with a Christian worldview. Students are challenged in all areas of their lives – academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially – as they develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Position OverviewProvidence Academy seeks a passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic, caring, and creative Spanish Teacher for Middle School students. This person will inspire students and cultivate a love of language learning. The ideal candidate will engage students through meaningful instruction while building confidence, curiosity, and appreciation for Spanish language and culture. This teacher will demonstrate a deep knowledge of Spanish and effective instructional practices, meet the diverse needs of learners, and foster a classroom culture where students are encouraged to grow academically and personally.
A strong commitment to partnering with families, collaborating with colleagues, and supporting the mission of a Christian school is essential.
The successful candidate will:
- Create engaging and interactive Spanish learning experiences
- Possess a deep knowledge and appreciation of teaching Spanish language and culture
- Engage students through developmentally appropriate, interactive, and differentiated instruction
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and relationship‑building skills
- Create an environment that supports both academic excellence and spiritual growth
- Integrate a Biblical worldview into instruction and student interactions
- Collaborate effectively with administrators, teachers, students, and families
- Participate in school life and contribute positively to the Providence Academy community
- Provide a safe, prayerful, educational environment for students to learn and demonstrate the five attributes of the school’s Portrait of a Graduate.
- Review current program and develop updates to overall curriculum, approach, and possibility of expansion and growth of program.
- Possess a positive and strong work ethic with a growth mindset.
- A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to modeling Christ‑like character
- Ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment where students demonstrate the five traits of the school’s Portrait of a Graduate
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to cultivating a growth mindset
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish
- Ability to plan and deliver meaningful, developmentally appropriate instruction
- Excellent oral, written, and people skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with parents, students, teachers, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to function as a collaborative and collegial member of a team with administrators, teachers, students, and parents.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Prior teaching experience preferred
