Position

High School Special Education Teacher with Signing Bonus

Experienced full-time position located in Leesburg, VA. The role requires delivering individualized education and behavioral programs for high school students with emotional and behavioral needs within private special education day schools.

• Develops and implements individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students.
• Selects appropriate instructional materials and strategies to meet IEP goals across all required subject areas.
• Prepares quarterly report cards, mid-quarter progress reports, and IEP progress narratives.
• Maintains communication with students' parents/guardians, relevant staff, and external professionals.
• Manages classroom budget and reports expenditures to supervisor.
• Evaluates students’ academic and behavioral functioning; re-evaluates and adjusts programs as needed.
• Organizes classroom furniture and equipment to support an effective learning environment.
• Supervises students throughout the day, including bus and playground duty, to ensure safety.
• Implements individual and group behavior management programs.

• Bachelor's Degree (required).
• Minimum qualification for a Provisional Certificate in special education at the appropriate level or content area.
• Experience working in special education or a related field (preferred).
