Senior Level Measurement Solutions Technician | Emerson Rosemount Experience Required

Control Associates is a 90+ year leader in industrial process automation, partnering with Emerson Automation Solutions to deliver premier process control systems, valves, instrumentation, and asset reliability solutions across the New York tri-state area. Our work powers critical industries from pharmaceutical manufacturers developing life-saving treatments to power plants keeping communities running.

The Opportunity

This is not a role for someone who just wants to manage the work. We're seeking a proven field leader who can mentor junior technicians, drive technical excellence, and actively help grow our MSOL business. You'll serve as our primary technical expert for measurement solutions, lead our calibration group, and represent Control Associates at premier customer sites throughout the tri-state area.

With shutdown season approaching and significant calibration work expected this fall, we need someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

What You’ll Lead and Deliver
  • Serve as the primary technical expert for Emerson and Rosemount pressure, temperature, flow, and level instrumentation
  • Lead complex field calibrations, troubleshooting, device commissioning, and maintenance activities
  • Manage high-volume calibration projects during shutdown and outage seasons
  • Utilize calibration tools and software including AMS and Procal
  • Support tank gauging, drum level instrumentation, and wireless instrumentation setup
  • Apply ROC panel programming and control theory expertise
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams for complex instrumentation systems
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior technicians to build a high-performing field service team
  • Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable
  • Manage workload distribution and scheduling across multiple simultaneous jobs
  • Lead by example - you'll work alongside your team in the field
  • Conduct direct, constructive performance conversations that develop your team's capabilities
  • Collaborate across groups including valve repair, I&C, and warehouse teams
Business & Customer Engagement
  • Represent Control Associates professionally at customer sites throughout the tri-state area
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers including utilities and industrial operators
  • Support business development efforts to grow our MSOL business
  • Maintain strong administrative follow-through including time entry, expense reports, and job documentation
  • Be available for emergency callouts and after-hours work as needed
What You’ll Bring
  • 5-8+ years of field service experience in industrial instrumentation
  • Emerson Rosemount measurement solutions experience required (pressure, temperature, flow, and level)
  • Prior supervisory or lead technician experience strongly preferred
  • Strong background in industrial instrumentation calibration and complex troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with calibration tools and software (AMS, Procal)
  • Experience with shutdown/outage calibration work and high-volume projects
  • Knowledge of wireless instrumentation setup and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with tank gauging and drum level instrumentation
  • Experience with ROC panel programming and control theory
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with Con Ed, Phillips 66, or similar tri-state industrial customers (a plus)
  • Engineering degree or technical school background preferred
The Profile We’re Looking For

You’re self-directed and don’t need close supervision. You take ownership of outcomes and hold yourself to the same standards you set for your team. You’re professional and customer-focused, comfortable representing Control Associates at premier industrial sites. You’re a team player who collaborates across groups and brings a positive, accountable attitude to everything you do.
