Background – Nestled upon 300 acres of property atop Hogback Mountain, Stone Tower Winery is a family-owned and
-operated winery dedicated to making premium estate-driven wines and creating memorable wine experiences that both inspire and enhance the lives of the people and community it serves. In addition to producing wine of exceptional quality, excellence in hospitality and customer service is essential to fulfillment of this goal. To further its mission and promote its core values, Stone Tower Winery is actively seeking a motivated, energetic, and passionate individual to join its team as an Event Coordinator.

Position Summary – The Event Coordinator is responsible for supporting and working closely with the Events Team to promote and fulfill the company’s mission statement and core values. Specifically, this individual will be focused on the sales, promotion, planning, and execution of event logistics while both displaying excellence in hospitality and creating a fun, positive, and energetic work environment for the Stone Tower team.

Duties and Responsibilities – The Event Coordinator will specifically be responsible for the following duties:

  • Enthusiastically promoting and fulfilling the company’s mission statement and core values
  • Applying the principles of trust, honesty, respect, integrity, and commitment in daily work
  • Developing and maintaining a pleasurable, collegial, and educational work environment
  • Displaying professionalism through one’s language, appearance, and behavior
  • Promoting a work environment that exudes positivity, teamwork, and gratefulness for all by providing staff with positive feedback, mentorship, and leadership. Applying the principles of trust, honesty, respect, integrity, and commitment in work.
  • Working flexible schedules in accordance with company needs (e.g., weekends, evenings, etc.)
  • Assisting management team with sales, promotion, planning, and execution of various events
  • Efficiently performing in a fast pace environment through multi-tasking and leadership
  • Properly resolving guest concerns/complaints/issues in accordance with company policies and values

    Maintaining cleanliness and organization of event facilities and storage spaces
  • Promptly and effectively communicating issues to Senior Management Team
  • Motivate, lead, support, and develop our Hospitality & Events Team to be ‘Top of Class’ performers who are appropriately promoting the STW brand in accordance with our mission statement and core values.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of STW and our company-wide operations, policies, products, etc. and effectively communicate them to personnel throughout the organization
  • Promptly answering and responding to incoming phone calls, voicemails, emails, and other means of correspondence with our guests, vendors, and employees.

Job Requirements – A qualified applicant is expected to meet the following criteria:

  • A passion for and knowledge of wine, wine production, and hospitality
  • Experience in customer service/hospitality industry, event planning, and sales
  • Proven capacity to effectively motivate, manage, and lead others
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail
  • Proven ability to efficiently multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to establish positive relationships with employees at all levels
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Able to lift and move 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings
  • Proficiency in data entry, inventory management, and cash register/POS operations
  • Willingness to work 40+ hours during busy season as needed
  • Ability and desire to assist in responsibilities outside events

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

  • Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Event Planning: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 2 years (Required)
  • Food Service: 1 year (Preferred)
