Job Overview
Premier Banker – full‑time position located in Leesburg, Virginia. The role focuses on managing a complex portfolio of mass‑affluent clients, delivering boutique client service, and driving growth and retention.
Responsibilities- Work in a bank location developing, deepening, and retaining strong relationships with a mass‑affluent book of business by proactively managing their banking needs with an advice‑based approach.
- Demonstrate proficiency and in‑depth knowledge in banking and credit products, explaining solutions to clients and acting as liaison with internal partners.
- Acquire and deepen relationships with new mass‑affluent clients through referrals, leads, and outbound prospecting.
- Engage in proactive client outreach via phone, email, appointments, etc., to conduct needs‑based conversations, review financial information, suggest appropriate solutions, and coordinate partner introductions.
- Deliver excellent client service, review moderately complex client concerns, and appropriately raise banking related issues or risks.
- Adhere to all relevant Retail/Wealth policies, procedures, FINRA, and regulatory banking requirements.
- Engage in conversations with clients about loan products, facilitate application intake, and maintain active NMLS registration.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with partners to identify deepening opportunities across Wealth, Commercial, Small Business, and Lending.
- Partner with Wealth Financial Advisor for referrals and joint pipeline reviews.
- Coach bank staff on articulating program value and making Premier referrals.
- Implement the client Identification Program (CIP) and related AML procedures.
- HS Diploma or GED (required).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2+ years financial/banking experience.
- Completed Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) strongly preferred.
- Life & Health license preferred.
- Experience with retail and small business banking; experience interacting with mass‑affluent and high‑net‑worth clients.
- Active NMLS registration upon hire.
- Consultative sales experience required.
- Deliver the TD Premier program to eligible clients.
- Act as educator and advisor, performing complex customer transactions.
- Establish and nurture client relationships through proactive outreach and consulting support.
- Utilize client‑relationship tools for needs‑based conversations.
- Educate clients on promotions and banking resources.
- Support the bank’s Customer Service Strategy.
- Advocate for clients with proactive insights and recommendations.
- Ensure high levels of service when interacting with internal partners or vendors.
- Serve as single point of contact for clients.
- Contribute to operational excellence and compliance, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Engage in loan conversations, prepare documents, and conduct closings.
- Meet performance metrics.
- Participate in team and organizational success, maintain brand champion status.
- Collaboration and mentorship, continuous coaching for Mass Affluent portfolio growth.
- Position falls under the definition of Loan Originator and Mortgage Loan Originator as defined by Regulation Z and SAFE Act.
- Eligibility for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with NMLS.
- Must pass criminal and credit background checks.
Occupational profile: occasional to continuous levels of domestic travel and sedentary work. Key tasks include operating office equipment, responding to sounds, sitting, standing, walking occasionally, lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally, and performing other routine office operations.
