Position: Retail Banker II ( Leesburg)

Position Overview

Hours:

40 hours per week
Pay: $24.75 - $34.00 USD per hour, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as subject‑matter expert in the store for both customers and colleagues on all TD products, services, policies, and procedures for personal and business banking.
  • Make product recommendations based on customers’ needs, highlighting features and benefits that support their financial goals.
  • Build and nurture customer relationships by actively listening, engaging in conversations to uncover additional needs, and offering solutions or partner referrals.
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools to assess customers, identify solutions, and conduct lead‑focused outbound sales activities.
  • Evaluate issues, errors, and problems using established procedures and independently resolve customer problems, escalating when necessary.
  • Explain detailed or complicated information within the team, build working relationships with cross‑functional teams, and participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities.
  • Engage in conversations with customers about loan products, facilitate application intake, and maintain an active registration status with NMLS.
  • Perform teller transactions—including check cashing, deposits, transfers, and withdrawals—while monitoring fraud mitigation and adhering to operational policies.
  • Deliver legendary customer experience by providing consultative support, proactive insights, and timely resolution, ensuring interactions are unexpectedly human.
  • Champion TD brand internally and externally; support customers through challenging life events.
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies, Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and all relevant regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement and teamwork, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Customer Accountabilities
  • Deliver end‑to‑end advice, building trust through educational content and tools.
  • Advocate for customers with proactive insights and recommendations.
  • Execute appropriate behaviors to deliver legendary customer experience and provide sound advice.
  • Orchestrate customer flow, warmly welcome, discover initial needs and guide interactions.
  • Educate customers on self‑service options and digital channels.
  • Act as point of escalation for customer questions or concerns.
  • Improve customers’ financial confidence by sharing knowledge.
Shareholder Accountabilities
  • Ensure compliance with operational activities per company guidelines and regulations.
  • Promote full suite of products, services, and banking capabilities.
  • Support accurate completion of business processes; document accurately and consistently.
  • Escalate non‑standard or high‑risk transactions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate due diligence on all client transactions.
  • Apply Bank Code of Conduct and operational excellence practices.
Employee/Team Accountabilities
  • Participate fully as a team member, support a positive work environment, and communicate issues timely.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and participate in knowledge transfer.
  • Contribute to personal performance management and development activities.

Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2‑year degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of related experience working with customers and/or sales.
  • Teller experience preferred.
  • Superior customer service, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to schedule, prioritize, and work independently within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to provide community services (e.g., financial education classes).
  • Notary License preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Perform sedentary work continuously; multiple tasks continuously.
  • Sitting frequent, standing frequent, walking occasional.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs., occasionally.
  • Inclusive variety of tasks not exceeding full‑time energy.
Legal and Regulatory Requirements
  • Eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z.
  • Eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with NMLS.
  • Satisfactory background check results required.
