Medical Biller - Oncology Insurance Specialist

Pay From: $24 per hour

• 3+ years of experience working in an Oncology setting
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Billing and/or Coding Experience
• Workable knowledge of CPT, ICD
  10, medical terminology and anatomy
• Workable knowledge and understanding of payer EOBs
• Workable knowledge and understanding of CMS, Medicare, Medicaid and other payer guidelines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interact with patients, patient representatives, insurance companies and others in a clear, positive and professional manner is a must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EMR, e‑mail, Internet and Insurance Payer portals

• Process and obtain Chemotherapy Infusion Authorizations for office
• Obtain Tricare and VA Authorizations for office
• Investigate and respond to patient in‑person or phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Obtain Medicaid Travel approvals
• Maintain confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness in documentation
• Backup to other team members when they are out of office
• Other duties as assigned by Business Office Manager
