Hardware Engineer, Technical Support, IT Support, Data Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong hardware support and data center operations background for an onsite contract role in Leesburg, VA. This position focuses on troubleshooting and resolving technical hardware issues, analyzing operational data, and supporting reliability and quality initiatives within a data center environment.
This is primarily a support-focused engineering role, with approximately 75% work in the data center and 25% hands‑on hardware support.
Pay Range: $60/hr. – $70/hr. on W2 (The pay rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support to resolve hardware-related issues in a data center environment
- Troubleshoot, assess, and repair hardware components
- Analyze operational data and metrics using SQL, Excel (Pivot Tables), or similar tools
- Review reports and summarize findings related to hardware performance
- Support process improvement initiatives with subject matter experts
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical issues efficiently
Required
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in hardware support, technical support, or data center operations
- Hands‑on experience with IT hardware, server components, or system troubleshooting
- Experience working in a data center or similar technical environment
- Strong data analysis skills (SQL, MS Excel, or similar tools)
- Ability to interpret metrics and communicate findings clearly
