The Senior Lead, IT Program & Portfolio Management will own the day-to-day governance, planning, and execution of VB Spine’s IT portfolio. This role ensures that technology initiatives are prioritized, resourced, and delivered in alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and financial targets. Working closely with IT and business leaders, this role brings structure, transparency, and predictability to technology delivery in a fast-paced Med Tech environment.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Tech Strategy & Operations, this individual will oversee the global IT portfolio and its associated programs, projects, systems, and related technologies. The IT PPM Senior Lead will partner closely with the global IT organization, Cybersecurity, and Business Applications teams to deliver a consistent and modern portfolio of IT programs aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
The Senior Lead will oversee a hybrid delivery model consisting of both internal VB Spine IT staff and outsourced service partners (“managed services”) responsible for various aspects of IT programs. This individual will ensure seamless coordination across all teams in the VB Spine organization
What You'll Do:- Own IT portfolio intake, prioritization, and demand management processes.
- Manage cross-functional IT programs and major initiatives from initiation through delivery.
- Develop and maintain integrated roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and risk registers.
- Drive disciplined execution using standardized project management and SDLC practices
- Partner with functional IT leaders (Apps, Infrastructure, Security) to align delivery plans and resources.
- Identify delivery risks early and drive mitigation plans.
- Support M&A activities (post-integration and/or post-divestiture) IT environment stabilization initiatives
- Produce executive‑ready dashboards on schedule, budget, scope, and risk.
- Track KPIs, benefits realization, and ROI for technology investments.
- Facilitate portfolio reviews, steering committees, and program status forums.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or related disciplines are strongly preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT program or portfolio management.
- Experience operating in regulated environments (medical device or life sciences strongly preferred).
- Strong executive communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated success in leading technology transformations during mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Occasional travel to company site and vendor locations may be required.

Compensation:Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with qualifications and performance taken into account. VB Spine reserves the right to offer compensation outside of this listed range. Final compensation is determined on a case‑by‑case basis and considers a variety of factors, including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
